The UFA Soccer Association wants to congratulate the players and coaches of the UFA NJ Strikers on their historic run in the NJ Youth Soccer National Championship State Cup competition.  On Saturday, May 18^th, the Strikers defeated TSF Academy 3-1 to advance to the State cup finals against the Player Development Academy (PDA).  Until now, no UFA team had ever reached the finals of this statewide competition.

The finals were held on Sunday, May 19^th, at the Manalapan Rec Center in Manalapan, NJ.  Although the team lost the final game, it took double overtime for the largest academy in the state to come away with the victory.

Congratulations again to the players and coaches on your accomplishment.  You continue to inspire our younger players and demonstrate that with dedication and hard work, a small town team can compete and succeed at the top levels of competition.

UFA Soccer is happy to announce the formation of a new U13 boys travel team that will begin play in fall of 2013.
the team will be holding tryouts on Sunday 5/18 from 2pm to 3:30pm at the Mark Harbourt Soccer Complex.  There will also be an additional tryout on Tuesday 5/21 from 6:30 to 7:30, also at Mark Harbourt.  Any one who is interested should contact coach Rob Cross at

New Travel Team Announcement
 
UFA Soccer is organizing a U-11 boys travel team to begin competition this coming Fall.  Tryouts will be held in May as part of the UFA Travel Team selection.  If your son is interested or you would like to learn more please contact one of the coaches listed below.

UFA NJ Strikers U15 boys get accepted to play in the US Youth Soccer Region 1 Premier league. Play will begin this March and includes teams from NY, CT, MA, NH. UFA is the only U15  team from NJ to get accepted.

NJ Youth Soccer "F" License Courses

Going forward, all Midlands and Travel Team Coaches will need to hold an "F" License from New Jersey Youth Soccer.  This course is offered on a regular basis by New Jersey Youth Soccer in various venues around the area.  UFA Soccer will reimburse the full amount of the $35 course fee upon succesful completion of the course. 

The link below will take you to the New Jersey Youth Soccer Registration Site for the course and details the currently scheduled and available New Jersey Youth Soccer Coaching School's "F" License Courses.  There are no prerequisites for this course and you will receive your F License certificate at the end of course assuming you attend all sessions and are a member of NJYS.
